Hi All,
My wife had surgery before 3 months for fibrous dyplasia (benign
tumor). The tumor was on hip area. Doctor successfully removed the
tumor & put some screw to support the hip & filled the bone cavity with
some synthetic bone grafting material called alpha TCP material. But
still she is having pain. According to doctor the bone is very weak &
not healing with that grafting material. Doctor is suggesting to re-do
the surgery & change the grafting material with her own bone from some
other part of body.
Do we have any other alternative than re-surgery? What are the chances
that after re-surgery the bone will heal properly? Any suggestion would
really helpful
Thanks,
Vin
